About Me

About Me

A dreamer, a doer, an educator, a learner; A sister, a partner, a daughter, a friend.

My favourite flower is the purple aster; My intro is a poem just because I can.

I pride myself as someone who is rather resourceful, quite creative, and curiously adaptable. Many, if not all, of my colleagues and friends will be able to vouch for my personality, character, and work ethics. I deal with high octane situations well (except for anything horror genre related). Across time, I've been commented on that I work better under deadlines and some high expectations.

Curiosities

Perhaps this range of curiosities will give you a better sense of who I am.

  1. I love kitties! Am a slave to one.
  2. I enjoy board games, strategy games, puzzle solving activities, such as escape rooms. I also love crafting gamified experiences.
  3. I can bake a mean butter shortbread!
  4. I come from a family of educators, we love anything teaching and learning. Fun fact: we manage education from early childhood to adults.
  5. I have an in-house software engineer and personal news anchor as a forever-roommate.
  6. Actually, I don't enjoy cardio exercises but don't mind practising good diet.
  7. When I find any topic (or tv series I like), I will binge and try to find out everything about it until I am satisfied.
  8. My dream is to own a tiny house, live off the plot of land, and enable a space for neighbourhood kids (and adults) to freely play.

My work philosophy

I love collaborative work, I thrive off idea bouncing sessions and live for time and space to be creative and innovative. However, all that should also be goal oriented, data-driven, and user-centric, working towards crafting solutions that are proven meaningful and useful (be it product or services).

A healthy and positive work culture for me is:

  • in an organisation with clear vision and goals
  • a fail-safe environment with radical candor as a feedback loop value
  • where colleagues embrace diversity and humour
  • where company values are modelled and upheld by the bosses and the teams, and embodied in the work processes.
